4 Warm over low heat until mixture reaches 160F. Maintain temperature, do not exceed 160F.
5 Simmer gently at 160F for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6 Remove from heat. Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean container. Infused butter is ready.

2 Decarb the cannabis at 245°F for 35 minutes on a baking sheet. This activates the THC safely. Work in a well-ventilated area and use oven mitts.
3 In a saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar and cream over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
4 Infuse 4.5g cannabis into the butter at 160°F for 45 minutes before adding, then strain. Attach thermometer and cook to 300°F (hard crack stage) without stirring.
5 Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Quickly pour into molds or sheet. Score if on sheet while warm.
6 Cool completely at room temperature until hard. Break or pop out of molds.
7 Store in airtight container. The candies should be clear, buttery, and perfectly balanced with rich flavor. Makes 24 candies.
