Infused Finishing Salt — The Jar Stays Clean, the Flaky Crystals Carry the Dose
The 60-Second Read: Dosed finishing salt is the stealth move: cannabis coconut oil misted over flaky sea salt, dried, and jarred. A pinch finishes anything — eggs, chocolate, avocado toast — with ~2mg a flake.
The Science
Coconut oil's high saturated-fat content binds THC tightly; misted thin over salt crystals it dries to a non-greasy coating that disperses evenly when sprinkled.
The Infusion
Decarb: 240°F for 40 minutes.
Cannabis coconut oil: 1/4 cup coconut oil + 1/4 cup decarbed flower; 180°F for 2 hours, strain.
Salt: Mist 2 tbsp warm dosed oil over 1 cup flaky sea salt; toss, spread on parchment, dry 24 hours.
Dosing Math
7g flower at 20% THC = ~1,400mg; ~60% efficiency → ~840mg in 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) ≈ 210mg per tbsp. Two tbsp over 1 cup salt ≈ 420mg per cup ≈ ~9mg per tsp of salt. A finishing pinch (~1/4 tsp) ≈ 2mg.
Terpene Pairing
Salt amplifies everything — keep a limonene-forward batch for bright dishes and a myrcene-forward batch for savory.
Strain Suggestions
Any quality flower works; use trim or smalls to keep costs down.
