Infused Som Tum — The Mortar Stays Clean, the Peanut Dressing Carries the Dose

Infused Som Tum — The Mortar Stays Clean, the Peanut Dressing Carries the Dose

The 60-Second Read: Thailand's green papaya salad is all crunch, lime, chile, and funk — and a dosed peanut dressing clings to every shred.

The Science

Peanut oil's monounsaturated fats carry THC well; the unheated dressing means zero potency loss and the lime-chile punch covers any herbal edge.

The Infusion

Decarb: 240°F for 40 minutes.

Cannabis peanut oil: 1/4 cup roasted peanut oil + 1/4 cup decarbed flower; 180°F for 2 hours, strain.

The Recipe

Yield: 4 servings

You'll need: 1 green papaya (shredded), 2 tbsp dosed peanut oil, lime juice, fish sauce, palm sugar, chiles, long beans, peanuts.

Steps:

  1. Pound chiles and beans lightly in a mortar.
  2. Whisk dosed oil with lime, fish sauce, palm sugar.
  3. Toss with papaya; top with crushed peanuts.

Dosing Math

7g flower at 20% THC = ~1,400mg; ~60% efficiency → ~840mg in 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) ≈ 210mg per tbsp. Two tbsp across 4 servings ≈ 105mg per serving — dress lightly for a milder salad.

Terpene Pairing

Limonene is the obvious soulmate — lime, chile, and a citrus cultivar in perfect alignment.

Strain Suggestions

Try Super Lemon Haze, Tangie, or Lemon Skunk.
