 Midnight Soother: Linalool-Infused Chamomile Vanilla Warm Milk with Honey



Strain Pairing: Granddaddy Purple (indica) - classic grape and earthy sweetness that promotes full-body calm and restful sleep, ideal for ending a Chicago day.  

Terpene Pairing: Linalool - its soft floral lavender-like aroma pairs perfectly with chamomile and vanilla for a gentle, soothing nightcap that eases tension without heaviness.


Ingredients (1 serving):  

- 1 cup oat milk or whole milk (~240ml)  

- 1 chamomile tea bag or 1 tsp loose chamomile flowers  

- 1 tsp raw honey (~7g)  

- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract  

- Pinch of ground cinnamon  

- 0.4 g Granddaddy Purple flower (for decarboxylation and infusion)  

- 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (for infusion, ~14g)  

- Optional: a few dried culinary lavender buds for garnish


Decarboxylation Instructions:  

1. Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C).  

2. Grind 0.4 g of Granddaddy Purple flower finely.  

3. Spread evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.  

4. Bake for 35-40 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden-brown and fragrant.  

5. Let cool completely.


Infusion Instructions (Linalool-Infused Coconut Oil):  

1. In a small saucepan or double boiler over very low heat, melt 1 tbsp coconut oil.  

2. Add the decarboxylated cannabis.  

3. Simmer gently for 2-2.5 hours, stirring occasionally.  

4. Strain through cheesecloth into a small jar. Keep warm or gently re-melt for use.


Full Recipe Steps:  

1. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the milk until steaming but not boiling.  

2. Add the chamomile tea bag or loose flowers and steep for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.  

3. Remove the tea bag or strain out the flowers.  

4. Stir in the vanilla extract, raw honey, pinch of cinnamon, and 1 tsp of the infused coconut oil until fully combined and frothy.  

5. Pour into a cozy mug.  

6. Top with a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon and optional dried lavender buds.  

7. Sip slowly 30-60 minutes before bed for best effects.


This creamy, floral drink gently supports relaxation and prepares the body for rest.
