Strain Pairing: Sour Diesel (sativa-dominant) – sharp, diesel-citrus aroma with energizing, creative effects ideal for a motivated Chicago morning.  

Terpene Pairing: Humulene – its earthy, hoppy, woody notes perfectly complement the warm ginger and turmeric for a grounding yet uplifting start that supports digestion and focus.


Decarboxylation Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C).  

2. Grind 0.4 g of Sour Diesel flower finely.  

3. Spread evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.  

4. Bake for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden and aromatic.  

5. Let cool completely.


Infusion Instructions (Humulene-Infused Coconut Oil):

1. In a small saucepan or double boiler over very low heat, melt 1 tbsp coconut oil.  

2. Add the decarboxylated cannabis.  

3. Simmer gently for 2–2.5 hours, stirring occasionally.  

4. Strain through cheesecloth into a clean jar. Cool until semi-solid.


Full Recipe Steps:

1. In a small pot, bring ¾ cup oat milk and ½ cup rolled oats to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat.  

2. Stir in ½ tsp ground turmeric, ½ tsp freshly grated ginger (or ¼ tsp ground), 1 tbsp maple syrup, pinch of black pepper, and pinch of cinnamon. Cook 4–5 minutes until creamy.  

3. Remove from heat and stir in the infused coconut oil until fully incorporated.  

4. Transfer to a bowl. Top with sliced banana, a sprinkle of chopped walnuts, a few golden raisins, and an extra dusting of turmeric.  

5. Drizzle with a little extra maple syrup if desired.
