Creamy Vanilla Cannabis Horchata

Ingredients (4 servings, \~38mg THC each)

  • 1g cannabis flower (15% THC)
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups whole milk (or plant-based)
  • 1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ⅓ cup sugar

Decarboxylation

  1. Preheat oven to 240°F.
  2. Grind 1g cannabis finely.
  3. Spread evenly on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  5. Cool completely.

Infusion

  1. In saucepan, combine decarbed cannabis, milk, coconut oil, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  2. Simmer on low heat 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.
  3. Strain to make cannamilk.

Assembly

  1. Blend rice with 2 cups water until smooth. Strain to make rice milk.
  2. Mix rice milk, cannamilk, and sugar. Chill 2+ hours. Serve cold.

Dosage & Safety

\~38mg THC per serving (medium dose). Beginners: start with ¼ serving (\~10mg). Wait 1-2 hours. Store refrigerated up to 3 days.
