Why Slow Cookers Are Perfect for Home Cooks

Even, low heat (160–180°F) with no hot spots. Hands-off for 4–8 hours. Great for larger batches or when you’re busy—zero risk of scorching.

Simple Ingredients (1 batch)

• 1 cup unsalted butter or neutral oil
• 7–10 grams decarbed cannabis flower
• 1 cup water (for butter only)
• Optional: pinch lecithin

Step-by-Step Slow Cooker Process

  1. 01

    Prep the cooker

Add butter/oil + water (if using butter) to slow cooker. Turn to LOW.

  2. 02

    Add decarbed flower

Stir in your decarbed cannabis once warm.

  3. 03

    Infuse low & slow

Cover and cook on LOW for 4–8 hours. Stir once or twice.

  4. 04

    Strain & store

Strain through cheesecloth into jars. Cool and label clearly.

Pro Home Cook Tips

Use a probe thermometer in the cooker
Line with parchment or cheesecloth bag
Cook 6–8 hours for maximum potency
Smaller slow cookers = more even heat
Perfect for overnight infusions
Label lid with start time & strain

5 Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using HIGH setting
  • Skipping decarboxylation
  • Forgetting to add water (butter)
  • Overfilling the cooker
  • Not labeling or dating jars
Set it, forget it, and come back to perfect infusions every time.
